I moved often during my childhood and with each move came an opportunity to learn about new cultures, novel landscapes, and different people. These experiences shaped my youth and have prompted me to continue learning, growing, and traveling the world.

Why I Love What I Do
I often hear the negatives about traveling. Oh my God, Oh my goodness, traveling is so scary, or expensive, or [insert lame excuse here]. This is where the excitement of my challenge begins. It’s never that people don’t like to read, it’s often that what they’re being asked to read is unbearable or unrelatable. Change what you’re reading and suddenly, reading doesn’t feel like a chore anymore. There’s a book for everyone, an article for everyone [a blog post for everyone 😉].
Traveling, that’s another thing. That’s a thing that requires some know-how, some gusto, some decision making. It’s not the actual act of traveling that’s scary because quite frankly we do that everyday when we hop in a car or on a bus or on a subway. It’s the perceived massiveness of it, and the need to have someone give a little instruction, or a little information, or a little inspiration to get you past your fear.
That’s why I love doing what I do. I want to challenge everyone to see the beauty of more, the beauty of different, to explore “other,” because it is only through this discovery that we can see ourselves.
